Mesna Bruk AS was established in Lillehammer as early as 1814 and is one of the oldest companies in Norway. It started by making equipment for farmers, but gradually the activity became tool-making. Ever since the 1920’s Mesna has manufactured industrial knives, which have gained an international reputation. Currently, Mesna is the only supplier of such knives in Scandinavia. Mesna Bruk AS is from October 2006 based in Moelv. Moelv is a centre with a wide range of industrial activity and is located in the municipality of Ringsaker. The far biggest group is Moelven Industrier ASA.  Mesna has a sound financial base and exports more than 90% of its finished products to every corner of the world
